**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD** GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Performs aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to assure compliance with technical instructions and related directives. DUTIES: Responsible for performing preliminary, hidden damage, in process, FOD, and final inspections of work performed within the MRO Operations. Provides technical assistance, interprets technical data, and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives. Complies with all regulatory/statutory, customer and contractual requirements. Maintain Technical Publications and related directives Maintain Technical publications, forms and records relative to aircraft maintenance. Administer and monitor aircraft weight and balance programs. Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent Must have two years verifiable UH-60 Technical Inspector experience. 5 + years of H-60 experience required. Prefer a graduate of Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course and or Advanced Leaders Course A valid A&P license is preferred UH-60 (15T) course graduate preferred Must be a US Citizen Must currently have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: T o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools. Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales. Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
