Position Summary This position performs behavioral health insurance verification, billing, and accounts receivable procedures; monitors and maintains documentation regarding payer reimbursement regulations and procedures; and communicates with clients and staff regarding insurance, billing , and collection matters. Minimum Qualifications High School graduation with two years insurance experience, OR Post-secondary education equivalent Training in office practices, commercial subjects and billing, collections and accounts receivable functions Preferred Qualifications Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations Three years billing, insurance verification, reimbursement and collections experience in a mental health organization Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and basic Word applications required and Electronic Health Record systems and billing knowledge As an essential healthcare provider, Canvas Health follows all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions.
