Full Time Certified Surgical Technologist

NO weekends, NO Major Holidays, NO Call!! The primary function of the Surgical Scrub Technician assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meeting and Quality Management & Improvement activities. SPD experience preferred. Current specialties: Total joints, Ortho Spine, Ortho, Cataracts, Podiatry, Pain management injections Job Requirements : Education - High School Diploma or GED certification. Completion of surgical scrub technician course Operating Room experience CPR certification Strong ethical and moral character references Preferred: Two years’ previous operating room experience ASC experience Job Qualifications/Requirements : Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians. Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public. Ability to make decisions and solve problems Accuracy Attention to detail Timeliness Organization Little supervision needed to accomplish tasks Dependability : Attendance Punctuality Ability to follow directions Ability to meet deadlines Environmental and Working Conditions: Works in well-lighted, ventilated area with non-hazardous and hazardous equipment. Category I involves occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids and materials. Physical Demands : Ability to sit/stand for long periods; ability to walk. Capability for occasional overhead and low reach. Physical strength for equipment needs and patient care activities. Visual and auditory acuity for timely responsiveness and patient care assessment activities. Ability to move quickly in response to patient needs. Ability to make frequent judgments and respond to routine problems. Ability to make occasional judgments and respond to disasters or emergencies, actual events, or drills.
