At Inter Continental Edinburgh The George Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Maintenance Manager… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, across 5 shifts per week. Being flexible would be a great plus! We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days - this means we can offer great flexibility if required. At Inter Continental, we pride ourselves in maintaining service of the highest standards, intertwined with local culture wisdom and international know-how. We are paying a highly competitive salary per annum, all overtime is paid for. As a Maintenance Manager your main duties and responsibilities will be coaching and mentoring our maintenance team, implementing training and ensuring standards are being met. You will support the Director of Facilities to handle expenses and forecasting, identify areas of improvement within preventative maintenance and continuously monitoring the building infrastructure. Our Maintenance Manager will work on reactive maintenance (adhoc incidents ensuring the safety of the wider Hotel team and guests) whilst managing our on site contractors. Overall, you will ensure statutory compliance is being met and keep up to date with Health and Safety legislation to make sure we are meeting both legal standards and IHG specific policies. We aim to make international travel more alluring by offering a ‘Slice of the Inter Continental Life’, providing a sophisticated and cosmopolitan stay for our guests. To be part of our charismatic team…the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: Experience as a Maintenance or Facilities Manager within a Hotel environment (essential), within an older building is preferred Excellent organisation skills, managing administrative responsibilities of the role whilst also being confident in IT systems (essential) Experience in all aspects of maintenance that may be expected within a Hotel such as.
