Join our team today.The Clinical Documentation & Utilization Improvement Specialist is responsible to conduct a concurrent review of the patient's medical record to assess that the record reflects accurate information related to the admission status, diagnosis, medical necessity and specificity of clinical terminology. The Clinical Documentation & Utilization Improvement Specialist will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, payors and coding staff, to ensure that the clinical information in the medical record is accurate and supports the appropriate clinical severity, condition and level of care.Qualifications Include: Current NYS licensed Registered Nurse, BSN preferred. Professional certification in Medical Coding or Clinical Documentation Improvement preferred. Possess two (2) years’ of direct clinical nursing experience. Three (3) or more years’ clinical nursing experience with previous experience in clinical quality, utilization management, case management, coding or clinical documentation improvement preferred.
