Moore & Van Allen PLLC is a prominent, business and litigation law firm with offices in the Carolinas. We are currently searching for either registered Patent Agents or Engineering candidates willing to train as Patent Agents in our Charlotte, NC office. Successful candidates will possess a four year Engineering degree in one of Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering disciplines; and have 2+ years' experience in the field. They must also have excelled academically and have excellent writing, communication and people skills, plus excellent time management skills and be effective at working both independently and on project teams. The successful candidate will also be expected to take and pass the examination administered by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for patent attorneys/agents.Day to day responsibilities will include analyzing technical publications and drafting patent applications. More than 40 hours per week may be required to accomplish the essential functions of the position. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package to the right individual.
