We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual for a Sales Consultant/Project Manager position at our Willmar location. This position is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has previous sales and/or service management experience or who has had previous management experience in the overhead door industry. This position will be responsible for representing the company in the areas of project management, estimating, and the installation process for our commercial & residential product lines of our business. Most of the listed duties will be done by phone or on the sales floor, but may need to be at the customer job site. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Division Manager as needed in the day-to-day operational support of the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Contacts regular and prospective customers to solicit orders. Meets with customers to demonstrate and explain features of products. Point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating, estimating and managing commercial projects. Answers questions about products, prices, and durability. Recommends products to customers, based on customer's specific needs and interests. Prepares estimates and bids using the company software (CRM) to meet specific needs of customer. Update necessary reports on sales and products for division. Forwards customer orders to manufacturer. Instructs customers and contractors in use of products. Completes sales contracts or forms to record sales information. Estimates delivery dates and arranges delivery schedules. Assists in scheduling installers and makes sure they have proper items and directions to exceed customers’ expectations. Collects payment on new orders. Promote American Door Works products and accessories wherever possible. Ensure all sold work is installed to the customers’ satisfaction and resolve any issues or problems. Educate customer relative to product and accessory fit to particular needs. Assists with inside counter sales when appropriate. Prepares invoices and generate for delivery to customer. Assists in developing division plans, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and training. Assist Division Manager with project management for larger and more detailed quotes. Places orders for materials, including tools, doors, operators, and truck maintenance as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned by Division Manager or required by the supervisor/customer. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years previous sales and estimating experience, preferably in the construction or building sector, and a proven track record of progressive growth in previous employment. Should have solid computer knowledge including Windows Suite (Word and Excel) and preferably knowledge of Sage MAS products.
