Location: Cali/NY Company: WeDesign is a NYC-based, e-learning company ( https://www.wedesign.org/ ). We offer access to the world’s finest online art and design education, which includes interactive learning experiences for elementary, middle school, and pre-college students, recreational learners, and senior executives. We utilize the latest user interfaces and online platforms to connect students to remote and physical spaces, and to faculty from the world’s top art and design schools. Responsibilities: Developing and achieving department business and profit objectives Managing departmental budget and forecasting budgetary requirements Setting strategic long and short-term departmental goals and evaluating outcomes Supervising and evaluating team member’s performance to recommend personal actions such as retention, promotion, and dismissal Designing, developing, and improving department programs Recruiting, interviewing, and orienting new staff members Establishing, maintaining a positive and effective working environment Attending meetings, generating reports to upper-level management or other parties Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and adherence to company policy Performing other duties assigned Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field 8 years of relevant working experience in education industry Background or experience in design/arts is preferred Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills Powered by JazzHR
