Finance Assistant Job Type: Part Time, approximately 30 hour per week (Monday : Friday) Location: Oldham Salary: circa A GBP 23,000: A GBP 25,000 per annum pro rata Our client is a well: established company within the decorative lighting industry, recruiting for a Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their accounts team, on a part time, permanent basis. A key member of the team, you will be responsible for the timely, accurate and processing of data to the computer systems, reconciling supplier and customer documents and ensuring monthly processes are finalised to Audit requirements. Responsibilities include: Reconciling POS payments, including coding, batching, and processing. Preparing monthly credit card reconciliations and uploading to computer system, coding, posting. Nominal, Chart of Account monthly reconciliations. General reconciliations to assist colleagues. General reporting to line Manager. General office cover as required. General Sales and Purchase Ledger duties. Daily/Weekly and Monthly reporting The ideal candidate: Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar environment The ability to process data quickly and accurately. Use own initiative in a fast: paced environment. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Sound knowledge of IT systems and accounting packages and Excel. Analytical thinker with a good attention to detail. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Methodical and professional approach to work. Must be able to work under pressure.
