Maintenance Technician : Multi Skilled (Plumber) Location: Cirencester Salary: Grade 5, A GBP 25,138 : A GBP 29,605 per annum depending on experience The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been at the forefront of agricultural education and a key contributor to the land: based sector for more than 175 years. The Role We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and flexible Plumber to join the Campus Operations team, within Estates, offering a reactive service and maintaining all plumbing and drainage systems and ancillary plant in University owned properties across all our campuses and sites. You will need the confidence and ability to install, maintain, fault find and repair all plumbing equipment, sanitary ware and associated pipework. Carry out routine inspections and the planned preventative maintenance of all plumbing equipment and associated plant. The post holder will provide an effective and prompt customer focused, professional and efficient service to the University in accordance with its requirements, aims, objectives and Service Level Agreements using prior knowledge and plumbing experience. Key Responsibilities Carry out plumbing and repair work as part of the maintenance team, with specific responsibility for the plumbing related jobs. You will also be expected to carry out other maintenance tasks that could include air handling plant, carpentry, painting and decorating and general building maintenance both inside and out, at University properties. Carry out new installation works as required in a variety of commercial and domestic environments. Carry out regular, routine maintenance and safety checks on University systems and equipment including the fire alarm, fire doors, emergency lights, intruder alarms, CCTV.
