Comp: $173k base max plus leadership incentive bonus Job Summary and Qualifications The director is responsible for the overall effective operation of his/her department(s) to ensure organization goals and objectives are achieved. Participates in providing patient specific care standards as directed, and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction. You will comply with hospital/departmental policies and procedures, i.e., attendance, mandatory education, safety, infection control, etc. You will administer and analyze goals and objectives for work unit(s). Meet organizational goals. Take proactive view and anticipates change and need for action. You will prepare departmental budget, projecting reasonable activity levels and expenses required to achieve approved net margin for work unit(s). Operate work unit(s) within approved budget. You will maintain compliance with current regulation/requirements of outside regulatory/accrediting agencies and assures that new requirements are identified on a timely basis and coordinates hospital compliance. You will demonstrate understanding of Process Improvement. Promote the systematic assessment and improvement of performance. Continuously assess and improve the performance of care and services provided by using information available from customers (i.e., patients, staff, physicians, and employees), to improve outcomes. You will demonstrate high ethical standards in business practices. Actively support organizational goals and changes as they occur. Communicate goals in positive, supportive manner. You will guide, direct, and plan the organization and coordination of the department activities in the areas of responsibility. You will actively participate in Hospital and Departmental committees and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving the quality of patient care services in the facility. You will conduct monthly department meetings to keep staff informed. Insure that there is a complete flow of information through the department. You will comply with Employee Health and Injury policy/protocol. Comply with all emergency codes, disaster protocols, infection control protocols, and safety protocols. Ensure staff attends required/mandatory in-services and that staff receives continuing education to remain current in their field. You will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients and families served in relation to growth and development over the life span to identify their requirements relative to age-specific needs. Job Qualifications Associates Degree in area of expertise required, 3 years cardiology experience and 3 years health care management experience Required: If none of the “preferred” licensure/certification (listed below) are applicable, position requires a minimum of six years Director experience in lieu of licensure/certification Preferred: CMRT, CVT, Certified Radiologic Technologist, ARRT, RCIS, RVT or ARRT (certification in vascular function); BLS certification as per SDH policy; ACLS certification as per SDH policy by January 1, 2014 General Comments Additional Information · Focused on increasing volume in the CV Services line & CV quality metrics · Looking for metrics reporting experience · FTE: 3 RNs, 4 techs in cath labs & 3 pre & post nurses.
