Cloud Software Development Intern Job ID 2023-3375 Category Software Engineering Job Locations US-IL-Niles Workplace Arrangement Remote Overview SUMMER 2024Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter. The Cloud Software Development Intern assists with developing and testing Cloud-Native platform software and the integration with wired and wireless communication protocol stacks and embedded firmware systems in professional audio products. Collaborates with other Company divisions including Marketing to establish use cases and requirements, and software tests to define and execute test plans. This Internship is 100% Remote. Responsibilities Assists with the design and implementation of Cloud-Native platform software that controls and manages audio products and networking technologies using AWS technologiesCollaborates with marketing, software test and system engineering to define platform independent software use cases and requirementsDevelops application software using technologies such as Type Script, Angular, and HTML5/CSSDevelops embedded application software on Linux, in C++Estimates, organizes, and documents tasksPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, Pursuing a Masters degree is highly preferredKnowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.Basic knowledge of networking concepts, TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, TLSDevelopment experience using C++/NodeJS/Typescript with an OO approach, is desiredBasic knowledge of platform independent GUI application software development on PC Windows/ Linux and Mac (OS X) platforms and learns to use professional concepts is a plusAble to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.Able to follow standard instructions, practices, and procedures in analyzing situations or dataWHO WE AREShure's mission is to be the most trusted audio brand worldwide - and for nearly a century, our Core Values have aligned us to be just that.
