We have been in business for almost 39 years and have built 14 branch locations across the country with the idea that success is based on building long lasting relationships.The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company, actively prospecting for new accounts, and maximizing sales potential with existing customers. This role is the primary representative of our organization and must convey expertise in our services and capabilities. Pay rate: 50k + commission + auto allowance Responsibilities: Manages sales relationship, growth and profitability of new and existing accounts within territory or market Increase revenue and margin within existing accounts Meets or exceeds target for prospects, sales, and gross profit Maintains up-to-date customer, prospect, and competitive database with contacts, address, telephone, e-mail, fax information and strategic portfolio plan Maintain a driving record in good standing per Abatix criteria Manages pricing for assigned accounts within the guidelines of the company Provides customers with information on new products and services Provides technical assistance & problem resolution for customers Delivers value-based proposals to customer Supports inventory efforts as required Participate and represent Abatix Corp. in local trade associations Other projects and duties as assigned Job Requirements 2+ years sales experience preferred in the safety, construction, environmental, or restoration industries Provide and maintain adequate personal vehicle and insurance to be used in the performance of your duties Outgoing; able to strike up a business relationship and build rapport instantly Self-starter; highly results-oriented with a high level of professionalism Superior verbal communicator; excellent written communication skills (English) Strong negotiating and closing skills Problem-solving orientation Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills Ability to apply effective solutions through value added products, services and consultation Product Knowledge within industries served Professional appearance A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment General office skills including proficient computer skills Valid driver’s license Benefits of the Abatix Family This is position is salary + commission with an auto allowance You start earning PTO on Day 1 because we believe in your work/life balance We offer you choices in healthcare plans We are an ESOP which means if we make money - you make money!
