Broadlawns Medical Center has partnered with the Iowa Workforce Development in 2023 on a Registered Nurse (RN) Apprenticeship. The first in the State of Iowa! This grant will target students with significant community barriers and may be under-represented in the nursing profession. This will be a three to four year process that blends classroom learning, on the job training and incremental skill development. Mentors are assigned for support and to assist apprentices in overcoming barriers. ** Hospital shadowing experiences are provided.** Tuition assistance is available Additional partners include; Urban Dreams, iJag, Evelyn K. Davis Center, Iowa Workforce Development, Central Iowa Works and Des Moines Public Schools. Read Carefully: This application shall remain active for 90 days. After 90 days, if you are still interested in employment at Broadlawns Medical Center, you must fill out a new application.I hereby certify that the information given by me in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand and agree that any false information, misrepresentation or omission of facts in this application and the application process may be justification for refusal to hire, or immediate termination of employment without recourse.
