About the Position W-S Mechanical Group, a subsidiary of W-S Companies, is seeking a Journeyman Millwright who will perform various general manual labor tasks. Why work for W-S Companies? Competitive wages - the salary range for this position is $31 to $35 per hour based on experience 401(k) after the eligibility period with company matching component Opportunities for growth and development in your career Positive and safe work environments Key Responsibilities This is a 100% travel job Perform routine tasks such as lubrication of machinery, bearing and seal replacements, roll changes, and cleaning of parts during overhauls and preventative maintenance routes Assist with installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings Understanding of and ability to change spherical and tapered roller bearings, power transmission belts, roller chains, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, electric motors, gearboxes, and centrifugal pumps Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping, and steam systems, overhead hoists, and cranes What does it take to work for W-S Companies? Minimum 1-year millwright experience Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if required Must be 18 years of age Must have acceptable ID, pass a background check, and drug screen High school diploma or GED Possession of a TWIC card is a plus but not necessary Possession of an NCCER certificate is a plus but not necessary Understand verbal and written instructions, basic math, and safety skills Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 Ibs. on occasion May reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently May stoop, kneel, or bend on occasion Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects frequently Will climb and move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas while maintaining balance Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions About W-S Companies Founded in 1993, W-S Companies is one of the US's largest privately held, veteran-owned, and operated industrial services companies.
