Verrazano Nursing and Post-Acute Center is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for the day shift, Monday-Friday for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Staten Island, NY. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our healthcare facility, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration. Duties of RN Supervisor : Oversee unit, treatment and medication administration Complete Resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and their families Attend and participate in weekly meetings Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments Investigate all incident reports and follow-up Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care Participate and report on patient conditions in risk management meetings Participate in annual evaluations of staff Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing. Maintains safe and clean working environment Implement and interpret organizational policies and procedures, and nursing standards and regulations Requirements: Must hold valid NYS RN License LTC Experience Required Basic computer skills Excellent communication skills Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Compensation: Competitive Salary based on experience Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Experience: Nursing Supervisory: 1 year (Preferred) LTC: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: NYS RN License (Preferred) About Us: Verrazano Nursing Home is a highly recommended health care center.
