Our slow and steady growth is expected to accelerate in the coming years, and we're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to join our team starting in January 2024. In this role, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact on the growth and success of our business. You'll work approximately 20 hours per week to start, with the potential for growth to full-time status if desired. MUST INCLUDE COVER LETTER TO APPLY: Please include a cover letter highlighting your relevant QuickBooks and accounting experience along with resume. Note something about yourself that will set you apart from all the other candidates. Responsibilities: Manage monthly close for client accounting files—review regular updates, prepare financials, and maintain internal client status reporting for meeting internal and external deadlines. Interface with clients to facilitate regular close and financial reporting, collaborating to accurately capture changes in financial activity and business operations. Ensure requirements are met for year-end reporting, income / sales tax filings and all other ongoing tax / compliance obligations. Support staff accountants on procedures and accounting principles, training as needed. Troubleshoot QuickBooks and other accounting issues—analyze client data, review new software, create Excel spreadsheets for accuracy and develop tools for control. Prepare financial forecasts, operating budgets and cash flow projections as needed. Take the lead on clean-up and other accounting projects. Implement new systems and procedures as needed. Requirements: Experience with manufacturing and/or restaurant groups - monthly close, budgets, and analysis Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks Online, 5+ years minimum Meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication and follow-through Ability to work independently Proficiency in use of Excel Ease of learning new technology Professional presence when meeting with clients Positive outlook Powered by JazzHR
