Materials Planner Hayes, London GBP30k Job Purpose: : Ensure the timely supply of materials to meet production schedules and maintain operational continuity. : Deliver efficient and flexible solutions to achieve production targets. : Maintain strong relationships with all departments to ensure material supply meets requirements. : Assist the logistics and purchasing team in developing supply solutions aligned with production needs. Duties and Responsibilities: : Provide and maintain schedules for the supply of externally provided materials based on the master schedule. : Manage day: to: day Work Order materials, including sourcing from stock or informing purchasing of requirements. : backss volume requirements, ensuring stock processes align with production plan requirements. : Identify and backss areas of materials risk to minimise impact on production schedules. : Implement actions for all parts of the materials supply process, coordinating with purchasing and production. : Utilise Material Requirements Planning (MRP/ERP) systems, ensuring accurate and up: to: date data. : Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and provide feedback on inventory accuracy. : Monitor inventory levels, aid logistics in setting safety stocks based on production output requirements. Working Conditions: : Monday : Friday or Tuesday : Saturday (depending on business needs) : 5s standard : 37.5 hours per week : Able to work shifts, including earlies and lates Experience and Knowledge: : Experience in Material planning. : Experience within the aviation industry. : Proven use of advanced interaction with ERP systems. : SAP Knowledge. : Competent in Microsoft Office applications. : Knowledge of Bo M, Route, and fundamental production planning concepts (forward and backward scheduling / MRP). : Understanding of LEAN/JIT/Process improvement techniques, ideally with practical implementation experience.
