Manager, Health & Safety Full-Time, Permanent (Benefitted) London, Ontario - Application Deadline: January 14, 2024 - The Manager, Health & Safety, is responsible for managing all aspects of the agency's health and safety portfolio, including building a strong culture of health and safety and regulatory compliance within CMHA TVAMHS. The role will work collaboratively with leadership, JHSC, and staff. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING: What you'll be making - $39.38 to $42.48 per hour (Practicing Professional Grid) The above are initial rates; with grid increases as per policy Internal staff members will be placed on the appropriate grid based on their current rate of pay, up to Level 8 of the grid (see Intranet Policy - bit. ly/Compensation Policy Pg16 ) When you'll work - 70 hours over two-week period; Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm What your benefits will be – After a 90-day waiting period, will be eligible for extended healthcare benefits Your pension plan – Immediately enrolled in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Strategic Responsibilities: Implements successful health and safety programs and influences sensitive health and safety situations and relationships with key stakeholders Establish objectives for Health and Safety by defining and implementing one-year strategies Develop and implement new health and safety strategies, practices, procedures, policies and standards for the agency to ensure legislative compliance, injury prevention and effective risk mitigation and cost containment Identifies root causes/contributing factors in order to resolve issues related to Health & Safety Promotes a strong culture of health and safety, including psychological safety in the workplace Learn to grow and build a culture of continuous improvement.
