**Sign-on incentive: Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $12,500**University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 90% Staff Nurse to work at the Hemodialysis Grinnell Unit.Position Summary: Performing dialysis in a chronic outpatient setting. This unique nursing specialty allows for autonomy, critical thinking, and collaboration. Duties to include but are not limited to: * Completing and documenting physical assessments before and after treatment and monitoring patients during treatment. * Providing hemodialysis to patients with kidney disease. * Responsible for direct patient care in the Grinnell Unit. * Provide appropriate treatment for assigned patients as developed by the interdisciplinary team. * Deliver safe and effective care to adult renal patients using critical thinking and collaboration. * Accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record. Dialysis Unit Manager responsibilities (monthly meetings on Tuesdays)Salary: $60,000 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate. Education: * An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is requiredRequired Qualifications: * Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. * Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions. * General computer skills are required. * Minimum of 1 year recent medical/surgical RN experience is required.Desired Qualifications: * If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable. * Previous RN Dialysis and IV cannulation experience is desired. * Knowledge of university policies and procedures is desired.In order to be considered, applicants must upload resume (under submission relevant materials) that clearly address how they meet the listed required and desired qualifications of this position.Applicant Resource Center - Need help submitting an application or accepting an offer?
