At TWD Technologies, we are seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Mechanical Engineer / Designer to join our Burlington, Ontario team. Job Summary The Intermediate Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing and execution of various aspects of mechanical engineering, piping engineering and design support for process and material handling equipment. This will include participating as a member of dynamic project teams with a wide range of types of tasks. The position will provide the opportunity to work in a number of industries in which TWD services including Oil Sands, Refining, Chemical and Power. Job Duties Supervise, perform and check most types of calculations and design using both computer-aided and manual techniques. Provide assistance to the Dept. Manager, as requested, in the areas of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement, activities, etc. Perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, write technical bid evaluations, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities.
