We are looking for a Research & Development Engineer with Project Engineer experience and energy sector related experience for a Research & Development Project Engineer 6 months Fixed Term Contract paying circa £50k per annum pro rata, based 100 from home, which can be located anywhere in the UK. We are looking for a Research & Development Engineer with Project Engineer experience and energy sector related experience for a Research & Development Project Engineer 6 months Fixed Term Contract paying circa £50k per annum pro rata, based 100 from home, which can be located anywhere in the UK. The role is to provide support to established R&D projects such as low carbon heating solutions, renewable energy technology and renewable gas production projects. Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer, the successful Research & Development Project Engineer will have good experience of the practical application of engineering fundamentals and experience of project managing or acting as the engineering interface, for feasibility through to the development of ideally energy sector related technical projects. The position reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer. Responsibilities: To project manage and provide the engineering interface for Net Zero strategic scenario options that have been identified in the company’s Net Zero R&D Strategy, namely: Anaerobic Digestion Plant in Jersey – to include engaging with project partners, feasibility study supplier, industry experts and THE COMPANY engineers etc to ensure THE COMPANY’s risks are managed, and we maximise any potential opportunities for the biomethane produced from the AD plant. Green Hubs in the IOM options for district heating using mixed energy and hydrogen production – as above but for mixed energy district heating and hydrogen. Biomethane from landfill as renewable gas for Guernsey – as above through engagement with external suppliers and company stakeholders as required to deliver the. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
