Here's how a Senior Civil Project Manager for our Toronto office contributes to our team: Responsibilities Developing and implementing the project safety program. Creating and influencing a safety culture as a mentor and model. Leading the pursuit of new work by participating in estimates, working with trad contractors, and participating in proposals and presentations. Overseeing the development and implementation of the quality management plan and quality culture with stakeholder buy-in. Understanding client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit. Monitoring project performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule. Identifying and managing risk and opportunities on construction projects. Managing project team, client representative, consultant and trade contractor relationships. Monitoring progress of the design, including compliance issues, quality, general coordination, constructability, and timing of deliverables. Assisting the project team lead obtain a comprehensive design-management and design-quality plan and conduct periodic quality audits to ensure compliance. Keeping all parties informed of potential opportunities and challenges, and managing stakeholders’ expectations through appropriate forms of communication. Other duties as required. Qualifications Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. 15+ years of progressive construction experience with multiple contract delivery types as a leader and mentor preferred...
