We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Shrewsbury, to assist with the appointment of a Customer Service advisor , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Responsibilities: Handling high value preventative customer contacts through a variety ofchannels that relate to Adult and Childrens social care enquiries. Calls received at First Point of Contact include concerns raised overvulnerable adults and children. Callers may display a range of emotions andcall content may be highly sensitive and may include descriptions that are distressing for the adviser to handle. Receive telephone calls or other contact from members of the public orprofessionals. Using your own initiative and skills via guided but unscripted conversations and in particular using listening and analytical skills, accurately gather, verify and backss facts and search appropriate databases to determine the most appropriate pathway. Triage of calls, identifying urgent calls and ensuring that these are prioritised and dealt with appropriately and transferred to the relevant team in a timely manner. Liaising with Social Workers, partners and provider organisations. Utilising in particular where appropriate, the solutions provided by internal teams around the First Point of Contact.
