Material Coordinator Hayes, London£35k Job Purpose: Coordinate on-site material availability within the OMM framework, ensuring timely completion at minimum cost. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Production, Production Control, and Central Material Management for on-time event completion. Assist Central Purchasing Unit in clarifying material requests, exploring local alternatives. Develop market knowledge, seeking partnerships to reduce prices and lead times. Coordinate with Production and Sales to use approved alternates within customer agreements. Maximise inventory usage, minimise levels, and review requisitions for completeness. Identify time-critical items and support negotiations for material contracts. Coordinate 'Return to Stores' efforts and participate in meetings. Handle ad-hoc purchasing in line with OMM policies. Education and Qualifications: Technical/Aviation background, preferably a university degree. Minimum 3 years in aircraft maintenance and overhaul. Good knowledge of logistics processes. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate, preferably with SAP knowledge. Experience and Knowledge: Strong analytical skills. Good commercial and financial awareness. Project management experience. IT skills, especially in Excel. Personal Qualities: Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
