The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Muscatine Clinic (Lab/Outreach focus). Our LPN's develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. When anyone in the family needs specialty care, our family medicine provider connects you with the UI Health Care specialist you need. That specialist will consult the same medical record your family medicine provider has been keeping for you, so your specialty care is streamlined. This position will mainly support our lab within the Muscatine clinic with limited travel to support our Washington clinic. Will perform a variety of procedures involving moderately complex lab test methodology and techniques, performs clinical laboratory analyses on biological specimens such as blood, tissue, and body fluids. This position will utilize a variety of procedures, many involving numerous moderately complex tests and techniques that require the use of professional judgment.This position comes with the University of Iowa's generous, full benefit package including double-match retirement, paid vacation, and sick leave, and much more! In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse. * Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet safety standards.
