A well-established building materials supplier in Surrey, B. C. is looking for an motivated Assistant Controller. This position reports to CFO and there is growth potential for this role. The firm has been in the industry for 10 years and has established itself as a trusted partner for contractors and developers offering timely and cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise staff: accountant, accounts receivable, accounts payable - Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations - Reconcile rebates - Process vendor payments - Conduct account analysis and reconciliation - Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger - Maintain fixed asset schedules - Prepare financial statements, reports, and variance analysis - Assist in the maintenance of accounting software systems - Participate in financial audits - backss internal controls, including risk backssments, adherence - Provide support in regulatory filings - Assist with budgeting - Support CFO Skills: - Designated CPA – min 3 to 5 years relevant experience - ERP systems – Net Suite - Account analysis and reconciliation - Budgeting and financial forecasting - Ultra-strong attention to detail and accuracy in analysis - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Other duties as assigned.
