You will be a qualified accountant and be responsible for the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and review and sign off year end accounts. Job Description Core – Asset are working on a role for a Management Accountant to join a professional services firm in Edinburgh. You will be a qualified accountant and be responsible for the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and review and sign off year end accounts. Essential Skills/Experience: Extensive management accounting experience within legal, accounting or professional services ICAS/ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Strong stakeholder management skills Core Responsibilities: Preparation and review of high-quality monthly management accounts and commentary to reflect business performance Preparation, review and sign off year end accounts including liaison with the auditors Preparation of detailed financial analysis, including KPI analysis at a firm, group, partner team, and individual level Preparation of regular cashflow and profit and loss forecasting Preparation of annual budgets and budgeted cashflows within the agreed timelines, and monitoring/reporting thereon Responsibility for quarterly VAT returns Review and sign off of monthly payroll Working with the Cashroom team to ensure outstanding fees are collected Benefits: A highly competitive salary Wider Benefits package Core-Asset Consulting is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of age, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, interactionual orientation, religion or belief, marital/civil partner status or pregnancy.
