Accounts and Finance Assistant Chorleywood, Hertfordshire WD3 A GBP 27,000 : A GBP 35,000 per annum Permanent Office based role working full time Monday to Friday Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Accounts and Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant to join a prestigious company based in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire The Role Reporting to the Finance Director dealing with preparation of month end accounts. Duties Supporting senior staff with the preparation of month: end Accounts. Bank and Credit card reconciliations Monthly journal postings Processing all supplier/purchase invoices Reconciliation of supplier statements; chasing missing invoices etc. Responding to queries by telephone and email Monitor utility contracts and compare all utilities before renewal to ensure the best market rate is achieved. Code and process onto accounts system any ad hoc invoices to include downloading from various websites and checking backup data. Manage credit card payment documentation and posting of expenditure onto the system. Collate data as encountered to back up SECR reporting (Carbon Audit) Petty Cash : collate payments, code expenditure, or allocate against suppliers on system. Reconcile cash balance at month end. Monitor, chase and maintain debtors ledger. Any other relevant ad: hoc duties in support of finance team Skills and Experience Required Strong organisational skills Previous experience within a similar role Well presented Fully IT literate, Word and Excel (essential) Ability to prioritise Excellent communication skills First class customer service skills Positive, helpful and pro: active attitude Flexible, punctual and presentable Benefits 20 days paid holiday Nest pension scheme Allocated parking space.
