As a Performance Architect you will be working in our Canadian digital banking engineering team at the Scotiabank. The Performance Architect will be a subject matter expert of application performance that provides leadership and guidance to the Canadian Digital banking engineering and other application teams across the bank. You will work closely with multiple scrum teams to evangelize an emphasis on application performance and optimization. You’ll own the architecture design of highly applauded in-house automation frameworks for Performance test and enhancement including cloud migration, AI integration etc. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: You get to manage and maintain end-to-end performance for enterprise level applications, workloads, and environments. You will develop and drive migration plans, including defining timelines, resource requirements, and necessary activities to successfully migrate Scotiabank’s on-premises performance testing frameworks to public cloud. You will provide technical leadership in the design, development and support of Application Performance Management tools and processes following industry best practices. As well as firefighting production problems that are performance related. You analyze performance data and act on negative performance trends to identify root causes for frontend and mainframe applications. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a modular, extensible, and reusable test automation framework to enable the continuous testing in a Dev Ops environment You will consult with the development teams on large projects to provide performance architect’s services, ensuring: There are no monitoring gaps The design has been optimized from a cost perspective The accuracy of the capacity plan The completeness of the stress testing process Comfortable working.
