FIELD TECHNICIAN JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the fulfillment of customer installations, service calls, site inspections and equipment maintenance of wireless Internet service. Work orders will be placed through an On-Line scheduling system, On-Line ticketing system or via telephone for different activities. Responsibilities will include rotating on-call shift duties. Performance of duties may require some overnight travel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Perform all aspects of a customer installation for residential, business, and multiple computer setups, including terminating CAT5e cables, setting up small networks and mounting the necessary hardware - Operate a company vehicle and handle tools and ladders in a safe and professional manner - Troubleshoot connection or configuration problems onsite - Perform site inspections at given locations using a signal test device to determine serviceability of a customer and proper antenna placement - Configure and replace relay equipment in the field - Respond to on-call requests for relay maintenance QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Technical aptitude and computer skills working with Windows & Macintosh operating systems - No fear of heights, willing to climb up to 300ft. - Present a professional appearance, a positive attitude and strong work ethic - Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission - Ability to lift 50 lbs - Willingness to accept responsibility for the loss and care of tools, vehicles and equipment owned by Digital Path Inc - Consent to a background check - A valid driver's license with no more than 1 point on your record - No felony convictions - Ability to pass a field examination of safety, tool and ladder handling COMPENSATION: DOE.
