An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for dedicated Lead Theatre Practitioner - Gynaecology & General Surgery to work in an outstanding private hospital based in the Marylebone, London area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers This is a renowned private hospital in the heart of London, dedicated to providing world-class medical services with a commitment to patient care and well-being To be considered for this you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with an active NMC Pin or an ODP registered with the HCPC As the Lead Theatre Practitioner your key responsibilities include: Responsible for managing and leading the scrub team in the operating theatre for gynaecology and general surgery Preparing the operating room, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures related to gynaecology and general surgery Setting up and maintaining a sterile field Assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures Monitoring and backssing the patient’s condition throughout the surgical procedure Anticipating the surgeon’s needs during the surgical procedure Supervising and mentoring junior theatre scrub nurses Ensuring compliance with infection control policies and procedures Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: A managerial certificate and at least years of senior/managerial experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in theatre scrub nursing, with experience in gynaecology and general surgery Experience in leading a team of theatre scrub nurses Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies used in gynaecology and general surgery procedureinteractioncellent.
