The Locum Job Role The 3rd of March 2024 to the 2nd of June 2024 Locum Staff Specialist Psychiatrist at Mount Isa An exciting opportunity has become available for an Enthusiastic Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established team, within the Child and adolescent Mental Health Service. Role Description The purpose of this role will be to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in acute child and adolescent psychiatry. You May also need to cover the Adolescent Inpatient unit at times. In this role you will be responsible for the provision of high quality specialist psychiatry services to emergency patients, inpatients and out-patients at the relevant Hospital. The Hospital You will be working in one of NSW major referral and Teaching Hospital. The Campus, which in incorporates a Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. Being the largest of eight hospitals within the district it poses the capacity to treat specialist and complex cases with around 70,000 presentations each year. The Location This Coastal City on Australia’s Coast is best known for its Surfing beaches and Hiking Trails that encircle the forest and rocky cliffs in the Mountain range. You may also visit its many excellent art Galleries and other tourist attractions such as the populous Buddhist temple and botanical gardens.
