Buyer - Indirect We are looking for a Buyer who can multi-task, set priorities, work effectively under pressure, and likes the challenges of working in a highly engineered product environment. As a Buyer, you will manage end to end procurement-to-pay process. Your proven capability of building effective working relationships with stakeholders will contribute to your success in performing supplier relationship management, setting expectations, providing feedback, and obtaining information on pricing trends and negotiated savings. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Review daily purchase reports and place orders based on current and future demand. Know the commodity and understand cost drivers to deliver cost targets. Develop, maintain, and execute a commodity strategy. Procure build-to-print components, expedite deliveries, and always maintain open purchase order module ensuring accurate delivery dates and quantities, while maintaining optimum inventory levels. Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the applicable parties promptly as required. Build supplier relationships and act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement-related and/or technical issues. Monitor supplier performance by ensuring product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.
