The successful candidate would fulfil the academic position description of a Clinician Teacher. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. It is expected that the position will be 75% clinical and 25% related to research, teaching, quality improvement initiatives, and administrative duties. The expected start date is July 1 2024, or a mutually agreed upon date. The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and have, or be eligible for, certification in Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The successful candidate must have demonstrated clinical excellence in geriatric medicine. The successful candidate must have demonstrated clinical excellence in geriatric medicine. Teaching expertise will be measured by excellent evaluations in medical student, resident, subspecialty resident and allied health education, as well as formal training in teaching methodology. This position will support educational needs in the diverse geriatric medicine clinical practice settings including both inpatient and outpatient venues across the campuses at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in addition to participating fully in the educational programs of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto.
