Our client is a leading Recycling & Waste Management company who currently have an opening for a Transport Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. This position is based within the head offices – near Willesden Junction train station. This is a full-time position - immediate start available. Great salary on offer for the right individual. Our client is a leading Recycling & Waste Management company who currently have an opening for a Transport Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. This position is based within the head offices – near Willesden Junction train station. This is a full-time position - immediate start available. Great salary on offer for the right individual. The Role: Reporting to the Head of Transport, the Transport Controller will be responsible for supervising the safe, profitable and compliant operation of the transport department. The role includes working closely with the other members of the team and contributing to maintaining excellent management of the operation whilst seeking constant improvements to service and profitability. Key responsibilities of the role are: High quality scheduling and allocation of work to be completed daily across all collection modes Skip, Ro Ro, Dustcart, Co SHH, Trade Waste and Cage Vans Communicating directly with customers and drivers to ensure the highest levels of service are achieved and maintained. Controlling our drivers via our two-way radio system throughout the day to monitor their progress and take necessary measures to ensure that the work is completed each day. Daily use of our operational system Weighsoft to ensure all work is completed and reporting of any work not completed is thorough. Work closely with the Customer Service and Sales Departments Allocate and issue certificates for Crane Tested Skips for drivers ensuring there is a suitable amount of time left on them before sending them out to customer site.
