Staff Pharmacist Position Full-time placement for maternity leave coverage; (40 hours/week) - Starting March 2024 Custom Health Willowgrove shop provides a wide variety of shop services and a personal approach to our patient-centric shop business. In addition to retail shop services, Willowgrove specializes in compliance packaging using Pac Med, Syn Med, and Spencer machines to provide services for long-term care homes, personal care homes, facilities, group homes, and individual patients. Custom Health Willowgrove is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our shop team as a Temporary Full-time Pharmacist. Reporting to the General Manager/Pharmacist In-Charge of the Willowgrove shop, this position is responsible for dispensing prescriptions, providing drug information to customers, and managing shop operations in a retail setting. The pharmacist will work closely with the shop team to ensure safe and effective drug therapy for all customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Review prescriptions and accurately dispense prescribed drugs in compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines within a retail shop setting. Engage with patients to gather comprehensive medical histories and maintain accurate medication profiles, ensuring personalized care and safety. Address customer queries regarding medications, offering expert advice on drug safety, potential interactions, and proper usage. Provide seamless delivery and initial setup of Spencer devices in patients' homes, enhancing medication adherence and convenience. Facilitate prescription transfers, manage incoming physician calls, and conduct drug utilization reviews for optimal patient outcomes. Ensure meticulous input and maintenance of patient and financial records in adherence to company policies and guidelines.
