The Role: As a Service Charge Accountant, you will support local branch Property and Branch Managers, create and reconcile residential service charge accounts. Responsibilities: Prepare year-end certificates and explanations for final accounts. Communicate with clients on accounting issues. Aid in resolving intricate queries from Property Managers. Assist RMC Directors in comprehending service charge accounts. Attend AGMs and client meetings as needed. Meet deadlines consistently. Ensure adherence to the RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code. Requirements: Previously worked as an Accountant or in a similar role. Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and leasehold property accounting. Familiarity with lease interpretation, apportionment, schedules, balancing, and reserve fund compliance Awareness of Section 20B legislation.
