Job Summary The Facilities Manager will lead the site Maintenance team in providing both reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. He/She will be responsible for maintenance supervision, facility security, facility projects for process or building modifications and janitorial activities. Provides and supports the manufacturing department through characterization and improvements of the manufacturing process. Also provides support to introduction and process development of new products. Essential Job Functions Interface with senior leadership in the development, communication and delivery of the strategic business plan. Responsible for Departmental budget development and management that includes employee headcount, expendables control, capital equipment, and facility expansion or modification. Oversees building lease activities to include landlord communications, property care, and management negotiations during lease arrangement change periods. Process and system design/modification responsibilities to assure they are efficient and cost effective and safe operations are utilized and maintained in the facility. Development, justification, and cost effective implementation of capital projects. Evaluation of process capability; root cause analysis of defective product; support of cross functional continuous improvement teams; implementation of process changes; training; process characterization through statistical methods. Maintain a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities and lead the team to deliver effectively. Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken. Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal. Manage, coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. Set department objectives/KPIs and review ongoing performance of direct reports. O ther Job Duties Coordinates and prepares large infrastructure projects. Reads and interpret building plans, blueprints and specifications and assure conformance with building and safety codes, regulations and requirements. Assist Site Safety Manager with Environmental, Health and Safety program. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Interact with Local, State and Federal authorities. Education/Experience/Skills Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience. Seven to Ten years' experience in Industrial Facilities Management in a fast paced, highly automated manufacturing environment. Excellent organizational, computer and communication skills required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple projects a must. PLC troubleshooting skills required (Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley, and Automation Direct). Working knowledge of Variable Frequency and Servo Drives Read and Interpret electrical schematics (Electrical Troubleshooting) Understanding of AS9100 and NADCAP CAD experience Valid Driver's License Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to climb ladders and bend at the waist. Ability to reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. Must drive a vehicle to conduct work. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Training Requirements Hazard Communication Training Chemical Handling/Basic RCRA-Initial and annual update Arc Flash NFPA 70E NFPA 101 Life Safety Code Compressed Gas/Cryogenic Liquid Training OSHA 30 Hour Training to applicable procedures that relate to area of responsibility.
