Position Description Title: Inventory Control Specialist Department: Supply Chain Immediate Supervisor: Procurement Supervisor Location: Schaumburg Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly Position Purpose: Responsibilities include satisfying inventory needs, performing order tracking and inventory control. This role requires computer knowledge and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization to achieve department goals. Along with being actively involved in the support of safety, quality of IPG services.Principle Accountabilities· In depth understanding and use of ERP system transactions as they were designed for different processes, work order types, and their impact on cost tracking.· Maintain inventory information/records within the ERP system.· Perform daily inventory management procedures and duties'· Research and resolve inventory related issues, provide feedback to reporting Leads, supervisors or Operation Managers· Participates in inventory control activities to include cycle counting.· Counts and tags material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer (Excel, ERP)· Coordinate physical inventory counting activities.· Investigate and communicate, and reconcile inventory discrepancies, communicate and follow up with the team to find root cause.· Maintain master list of locations with date of last cycle count· Establish and implement internal inventory audits and reports· Align objectives and projects between inventory control and other departments· Follow procedures to accurately reconcile ERP inventory.· Provide ERP inventory reporting to requesting areas.· Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills and Experience· High School Diploma or Equivalent.· 3-5 years of related experience.· At least 2 years in manufacturing environment preferred.· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.· Able to resolve routine problems of typical scope; Analyze complex scenarios; Prioritize job tasks of varying frequency; Perform with limited Supervision.· ERP experience required (GlobalShop experience preferred).· Possess high level of critical thinking.· Advanced Excel and Word skills required.· Strong written and verbal communications· Possess strong math skills.· Strong computer skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Schaumburg, IL 60173: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Inventory control: 3 years (Preferred) Manufacturing: 3 years (Required) Work Location: One location Job Posted by ApplicantPro
