Description:
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Position will work closely with all departments across the company ensure accuracy of timecards and pay statements. Position must have great attention to detail and can be trusted with sensitive information. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for weekly timecard reviews, data entry of miscellaneous earnings/deductions. Address questions regarding paychecks, withholding tax issues or wage adjustments from employees and troubleshoot possible issues with pay. Manage monthly payroll-related reconciliations. Process all wage garnishment requests or judgments when required on an individual's paycheck. Process benefits invoices and reconciliations. Process Month End Journal entries. Assist with payroll and benefit audits. Assist with company payroll policy adherence. Assist with labor reporting. Assist with annual audits. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Two-year degree or equivalent experience as payroll specialist. Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality Must be a highly disciplined, organized, and motivated individual with keen sense of attention to detail. Ability to apply strong problem-solving, and analytical skills to manage priorities and workflow while being versatile and flexible with a willingness to work constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word Must have team-oriented, positive attitude, and great communication skills.
