**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD** GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Will perform UH-60 and CH-47 aircraft maintenance as assigned. Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical and pneudraulics component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair, and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. DUTIES: Removes, repairs, replaces, adjusts and tests pneudraulics systems, subsystems, assemblies, and components according to technical manuals, directives, and safety procedures Remove, repair and test pneudraulics systems, subsystems and assemblies Fabricate tubes and hoses Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions to pneudraulics systems and subsystems or components Perform operator maintenance on common and special tools Maintain and store hydraulic fluids and other flammable materials Uses and performs operator maintenance on common and special tools Requisitions and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft pneudraulics systems Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance. Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: HS diploma or equivalent Must have 4 years' experience MOS 15H course aircraft pneudraulics systems repairer or 4 years of verifiable hydraulic system maintenance and current A&P certification is required Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (Contractor employees shall have a favorable background investigation or hold a security clearance) Proficiency in MS Office suite Must be thoroughly familiar with AR 95-20, DA PAM 738-751, AR 700-138, and all associated aircraft maintenance manuals Must have own tools and ability to meet minimum tool list requirements, applying FOD and tool control best practices in accordance with AR 95-20 and Flight and Ground Operating Procedures. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances. May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools. Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales. Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
