Role: Parking Lot Attendant - ULHS Reports to: Principal FLSA Status: Non-exempt Contract Days: 174 days Retirement: None Key Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the direction of traffic in the student parking areas. Monitor student parking assignments and reports violations to administration. Attends training sessions, conferences, seminars, department, and district meetings. Review current development literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility. Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures. Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies and administrative directives. Perform all prescribed activities outlined in the Professional Development Plan according to the time lines indicated. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with students, parents and other educational professionals regarding student concerns and problems. Ability to consult with school personnel in developing and implementing effective occupational therapy interventions for students. Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community. High integrity, excellent character, and good professional reputation. Abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators. Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work. Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks. Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students particularly during emergency situations.
