We believe that everyone can learn if taught appropriately and is committed to the success of each client.As Controller for STEPS Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the company to include: accurate preparation of financial statements, budget preparation. maintain internal controls and assure complete compliance with all tax and regulatory reporting issues. Strong communication and technology skills are critical as well as the ability to work in harmony with other department heads in the company. Reconcile all accounts, ledgers, books of record, and reporting systems are compliant with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Payroll: Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of the weekly payroll. Minimum Qualifications Training, Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in accounting CPA preferred but not required Strong knowledge of (GAAP) 7+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis Background in both public and private accounting practice preferred Excellent IT knowledge including networked computer systems.
