As a member of our Accounting Team at ASI, you will work under the direction of our Accounting Controller. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Accounting Controller, has assigned duties of accounts receivable, reconciliation of financial accounts involving the review of financial data and statistical customer records. Assist as needed in all areas of accounting. Part time and/or full time opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs related bookkeeping and standard accounting functions. Creates customer invoices and reviews for accuracy to ensure correct accounting data. Verifies invoice/customer data placed into the system, generates receivable recap for Controller review. Works directly with Product Managers with regard to customer invoicing and communications. Requires excellent communication skills for direct customer interface. Receive, post, and deposit as needed customer payments. Researches customer accounts to handle inquiries and follow up on late payments. Assist in defining, creating, and documenting accounting processes. Reconciles bank and GL accounts. Other accounting and clerical duties as needed. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS: 1-3 years of experience preferred. Excellent communicator and problem solver. Works well independently with limited oversight, but also a good team player. Experience in accounting, finance, or other business-related field preferred, not required. Working knowledge of general accounting procedures. Ability to operate 10-key calculator by touch system. Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Detail oriented, organized, and good communication skills. Experience with accounting systems. Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers. The above statement describes the general nature and level of work being performed in this job function.
