Job Summary The Foreman is responsible for managing all plant operations and employees during any designated assigned shift. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Responsible for daily plant operations as directed by the Plant Manager. Ensures proper operation of all plant and heavy equipment; supervises all tasks performed by process operators or truck dumpers and any others on assigned shift. Oversees logistics of raw material and finish feed activities; maintains quality assurance. Responsible for accuracy and tracking of plant production reporting for assigned shift(s). Monitors hours of employees under his/her authority; reports shift inefficiencies; ensures employees are working to highest potential. Maintains cleanliness of plant at all times and at end of shift. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial or plant setting. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a rendering facility, preferred. Work well with others in a team; demonstrates leadership ability. Highly organized; superior time management skills. Exceptional communication skills both written and oral. Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task. Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment.
