We are currently hiring an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at Winnipeg International Airport, providing guidance and support to managers with a focus on effectiveness and performance. Garda World is the largest provider of aviation services for the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), offering screening services in 28 airports across Canada. Reporting to the Terminal Manager, (TM), the Operations Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the local base security screening operations. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of various teams. Additional focus on workforce planning and profitability to ensure the full utilization of resources while maintaining enhanced compliance standards. The Operations Manager must remain in tune with industry standards and play a pivotal role in the client relationship and business growth. Position Duties Responsible for adherence to operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization's visions. Primary responsibility for the coordination and implementation of a workforce planning model for the various areas of the operations to ensure compliance with both safety and service requirements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The first point of contact is to communicate job site conditions and concerns that may affect or are affecting the completion of the operational requirement to crucial stakeholders. Responsible for implementing solutions to improve the overall effectiveness of the operations. Monitor that screening operations follow the aviation industry protocols, client requirements, legislation, or division-specific. Lead/implement remedial or training actions to ensure ongoing compliance. Leads the recruitment process for screening personnel and is the decision-maker for hires.
