Date Posted: 01/25/2024 Closing Date: 02/29/2024 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 35692 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Paediatrics Hospital Affiliation: Sinai Health System Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: Effective April 1, 2024, a full-time position for a Staff Neonatologist is available in the Department of Paediatrics, Mount Sinai Hospital which is an academic health science centre affiliated with the University of Toronto. The Department of Paediatrics at Sinai Health has a tradition of excellence in Neonatal clinical care, education and research and is closely allied to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Department provides primary and tertiary care at regional and provincial levels respectively for newborn infants and specialized services for the resuscitation of infants with known cardiac disease and other congenital abnormalities. The Department in conjunction with the division of Neonatology at the Hospital for Sick Children and Sunnybrook Hospital forms part of a Fellowship Training Program in Neonatology which is fully accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The successful candidate will be expected to have at least 2 years subspecialty training in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine during fellowship, at least 5-7 years of experience working at the rank of Assistant Professor rank or have an Associate Professor/Professor rank and demonstrate an academic commitment and excellence in clinical care. The position will involve working in Level 3 NICU, Mother and Baby Unit, antenatal clinic, and Neonatal Follow up clinic. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is required. The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor at the University of Toronto.
