My client is a leading GBP50 million contractor in the construction industry, specialising in heavy civil engineering projects. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in Heavy Civils to join the team. Key Responsibilities: Deep Drainage: Manage and oversee deep drainage projects, ensuring the successful delivery of all aspects related to drainage systems. This includes planning, installation, and quality control. RC Structures: Take a lead role in the construction of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Structures. Coordinate with the project team to ensure the timely and accurate execution of structural elements. Earthworks: Oversee and manage earthworks activities, including excavation and grading operations. Ensure compliance with project specifications and health and safety standards. Surveying and Setting Out: Utilize surveying equipment to accurately set out works and monitor construction progress. Provide necessary guidance to the project team to maintain precision in construction. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures to guarantee that works are carried out to the highest standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications. Health and Safety: Prioritize and enforce health and safety protocols on: site. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, creating a safe working environment for all team members. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience working on heavy civil engineering projects, particularly within a GBP50 million+ contractor. In: depth knowledge and expertise in deep drainage, RC structures, and earthworks. Proficient in surveying equipment and setting out techniques. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Strong communication and leadership skills.
