JOB DESCRIPTION Do you hold a professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, ACA or equivalent or are you part qualified with proven accounting experience? If you are keen to develop your skills and career further within one of the largest commercial insurers in the world, then we would love to hear from you! We have a great opportunity based in our Glasgow City Centre office for an experienced branch reporting accountant. The key objective of this role is to work as part of small team that is responsible for producing the pre-tax financial information required for each of the branches. This includes the preparation of annual financial statements and other quarterly and ad hoc regulatory reports for each branch. The role holder will work closely with Chubb's in-house tax department and the finance managers based in the countries where the branches are situated. The role holder will also be involved in the development and implementation of new systems and processes to increase automation and efficiency in the production of the financial information. The role reports to the Branch Reporting Manager who is based in London. Key Responsibilities: The preparation of a trial balance and financial statements for a number of the branches of CEG SE and CLE SE. The financial information will be in accordance with each branch's local GAAP and other regulatory reporting requirements; Providing additional information and support to Chubb's in-house tax department as they prepare the tax computations for the branches; Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Treasury, Actuarial and the Transfer Pricing Team. Working closely with external auditors; Maintaining close contact with the Finance Managers in each country to build and maintain knowledge of the business of the branches; and Contributing to the development and implementation of new systems and processes to increase the automation and efficiency in the production of the financial information. .
